Summary: Use WebFiles to host a simple Web site. You will need to create the HMTL files in another program and upload them to your WebFiles space.
Step 1: Create your public Web directory.
You have just created your Web directory.
Step 2: Share you Web directory.
To allow people to view your Web space, you need to "share" the directory
or set the permissions.
Step 3. Upload some HTML files.
Create your Web pages in your favorite Web editor or write your page using HTML markup language.
Your main page should be titled, "index.html"
You now have the beginnings of your own simple Web site. Your Web address (URL) will be something like: http://webfiles.uci.edu/ucinetid/www/ (Replace ucinetid with your UCInetID.)
Note: WebFiles does not support dynamic Web pages using PHP, .NET, CGIs, PERL or ColdFusion.
