How to Upload Files

Summary: Upload your electronic files for storage, as back up, and for access from remote locations.

WebFiles can be used as a resource to store your electronic files. This is useful to back up important files, access them remotely, or to share them with others.

You can store any type of electronic file, however you are governed by the Computer and Network Use Policy and copyright laws. You are responsible for any file stored in your account.

Step 1: Choose files you want to upload and where you want to store them.

  1. Login to WebFiles.
  2. Choose where you want to store your file. You can navigate to a directory you have already created or create one now.
  3. Create a new directory.
    If you already have a directory to store your file, skip to step 5.
    1. Click the New Directory icon.

    2. Enter a name in the "Directory Name" field.
    3. Click OK.
      You have created a new directory.
  4. Navigate to the directory you've chosen to store your file by clicking on the name.
  5. Click the Upload icon.

  6. Use the selector arrow and choose the number of files you want to upload to Webfiles.
  7. Browse to the file(s) on your computer that you want to upload.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Your file(s) will be uploaded. You can access it by clicking on the named link. Currently it is only accessible to you unless you've chosen to share this directory.
