Thank you for your participation in the September 2010 Office of Information Technology (OIT) Smartphone Survey. There were a total of 1621 student and 633 staff responses.

Users reported varied satisfaction with carrier coverage off campus:
Carrier Good Poor Verizon 33% 4% AT&T 11% 26% Sprint/Nextel 4% 5% T-Mobile 5% 4% Metro PCS 0% 1%Between 2% and 20% of users reported service drops on campus, depending on location, including substantial rates in key campus locations such as Aldrich Hall, BioSci, Physical Sciences, Engineering, and Health Sciences. OIT will factor that experience into future negotiations with cellular carriers.
