Sound Formats

Here are some of the more common formats you'll see out on the Web...

.AIFF - The Apple and SGI format. Usually high quality.
.AU - The Sun and NeXT audio format. Relatively low quality.
.WAV - The MS-Windows sound format. Better quality and many variations.
.VOC - PC SoundBlaster file. Not easily portable to other machines.
