VERY IMPORTANT: Before applying the following changes to your computer´s TCP/IP configuration, write down your current TCP/IP configuration!
To use the UCI Mobile Access, you must first register your MAC (Media Access Control) address. You will need your UCInetID and password to authenticate.
To configure your Linux system to use the UCInet Mobile Access network
Use linuxconf to set the appropriate network interface to use DHCP to get it's IP address.
You can also do this by editing /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth? (replace ? with the number of your interface to the Mobile Access network).
If your Linux system is used in several places (home, office, Mobile Access network), you may want to set it up so that it configures itself during the boot to the network you are currently using. For information on how to to do this, see http://www.oit.uci.edu/~iglesias/multiboot-linux.html.
