Summary: Under general supervision, the employee provides technical services to UCI faculty, staff and student groups in general assignment classrooms.
Applicants must be registered as full-time or half-time undergraduate UCI students.
This position requires good interpersonal skills, knowledge of CTS equipment, superior time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in various campus locations efficiently; a high level of responsibility and accuracy in fielding questions, reporting issues, and following through on assignments.
Under general supervision, the employee provides technical services to UCI faculty, staff and student groups in general assignment classrooms. Responsibilities may include consulting on equipment options, troubleshooting, maintenance, programming, and unlocking/locking equipment. The employee will provide technical and clerical support for CTS staff as required.
Duties include performing first-level help desk and in-field support of Smartclassroom users, including technical and instructional assistance; help with routine and emergency maintenance of installed equipment; responsibility for equipment set-up and take-down in lecture halls; and other clerical or technical support for projects assigned by supervisors.
Employee shifts are evenings and/or weekends, where they will work partially supervised and partially as lead.
