Oracle Calendar and Todo+Cal+Sync Settings

Summary: Use the settings below to connect iPhone Todo+Cal+Sync to UCI's Oracle Calendar Service

Note: OIT does not endorse or offer technical support for this application. We offer the instructions below as a courtesy for people who want to use it to sync their iPhone or iPod Touch with UCI's Oracle Calendar.

Purchase and Install Todo+Cal+Sync

Todo+Cal+Sync is available for purchase from the iTunes App store.

Set up Todo+Cal+Sync on your iPhone

Server and Login Settings

  1. Tap on the Todo+Cal+Sync icon on your iPhone to launch the application.

  2. Click OK to bypass the introductory info screen
  3. Tap the Sync button in the top left of the screen

  4. Tap the Settings button at the bottom of the screen

  5. Tap the blue arrow in Server Settings

  6. Tap URL and type in: https://calendar.uci.edu/syncml
    Note: that you must include the "s" in https://
    Settings URL
  7. Click the Save button
  8. Tap User and type in your UCInetID
  9. Tap the Save button
  10. Tap Password and type in your Oracle Calendar password.
    Note, this will likely be different than your UCInetID password
  11. Tap the Save button
  12. Tap the Settings button at the top to return to the main Settings screen.

Calendar Settings

  1. Tap on the blue arrow next to Calendar

  2. Tap Sync Mode and choose Normal Sync
  3. Tap Server Path and type in: ./Calendar/Events
  4. Tap Settings to return to the main Settings screen

Todo Settings

  1. Tap on the blue arrow next to Todos

  2. Tap Sync Mode and choose Normal Sync
  3. Tap Server Path and type in: ./Calendar/Tasks
  4. Tap Settings to return to the main Settings screen

Syncing Your Calendar

  1. To synchronize your calendar, tap the Synchronize button at the top of the screen.

  2. Tap the Start Synchronisation

  3. The first time sync your Calendar it may take several minutes. It's best to do this when you have a strong network connection, such as a WiFi zone.
  4. You must manually sync each time you want an update. There are not auto sync settings at this time.
