If you are a recently graduated Advanced Degree student you have two choices regarding your UCInetID@uci.edu email address.

Signing up for @uci.edu email forwarding
The service is provided by UCI at no cost to you. It does not
require membership in the UCI Alumni Association. It’s a great
way for you to stay connected with the university, friends and
colleagues.To set up your permanent @uci.edu Alumni Email Forwarding address, visit:
http://signup.alumni.uci.edu (UCInetID Login Required)
Enter your UCINetID and password to be directed to the e-mail
forwarding registration page.
The address you register can be an
e-mail account provided by any commercial or public e-mail service
such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, or your home Internet Service Provider.
Signing up, or keeping your UCI Gmail account.
The Google service is provided by UCI at no cost to you. It does not
require membership in the UCI Alumni Association. It’s a great
way for you to stay connected with the university, friends and
colleagues.
- If you already have a UCI Google account there is nothing further you need to do. Your UCI Google and associated Gmail account will remain active.

Follow the instructions for "Current students who want to use UCI Gmail" . You may only sign up for this service with in the first year of graduating. Sorry, but this option will not be available if you wait longer than a year.
Frequently Asked Questions:
- How long will I keep my Webmail account? Your Webmail account will continue to
be available to you for about one year after graduation. If you wish to
transfer your e-mail messages to another service, please do so during this time.
- Will I be able to send email from my @uci.edu when using the Alumni Forwarding Service? After you set up a forwarding email address, you will have the option to send emails through both the UCI email address or your existing email service provider(ESP). Many email service providers allow you to set the default “Reply” address of your choice. Please check with your ESP for details.
- Can I change my UCInetID or my alumni email address? Your UCInetID is permanent and cannot be updated after you graduate. Your email address is also permanent.
- I have changed my personal email address, and I am using the Alumni Email Forwarding service. How do I update where my email is forwarded to? Just visit the sign up page again at any time to update where your email is forwarded to.
- Will my Alumni Email Forwarding Service allow me to forward emails to multiple accounts, or to UCI Gmail? No, your email forwarding address will only allow you to select one email address for all your forwarded email.
- What other services will I have access to after I graduate? For up to four quarters, graduates will be able to access everything they have access to currently. After four quarters,
of not appearing in the student information system, you will be considered a "former student" and will only have access to applications that provide services to former students and alumni. Available services include the Registrar's StudentAccess application and EEE. You will also have access to the Alumni Association's Online Community application.
