What is the Cascade Content Management System?

Cascade Server is one of the content management systems used at UCI. It allows people the ability to easily edit content on web sites without having to know HTML or have other web development skills. If you are here, it is likely because you have been asked to edit content on a UCI website that is using Cascade Server to manage the content. This Guide is meant to help you edit and create content using your web browser.

The Cascade Content Management System Content Editors’ Guide covers the following tasks:

• Creating new pages
• Editing content
• Adding tables, images, links and files
• Publishing your content
• Version control

Logging In

• Login to Cascade Server at: http://cms2-app.content.uci.edu:8080 using your UCInetID and password.
  If you cannot login, contact the web developer for your web site.
