Flash Video

Note: You may be able to use the Adobe Sample Video page to assist in creating your embed code here: Adobe Media Server Samples. This page will show you embed code that will work in a web page that you put on our Streaming Media server.

1. Dreamweaver CS3 * Insert Flash Video
2. For content stored on OIT streaming server:
   • Server URI: rtmp://flash.oit.uci.edu/vod/_defaultVHost_
   • Stream: format:folder/file.ext

   Media	Format	Extension	Example
   Flash Video	flv	.flv	flv:folder/filename
   MP3 audio	mp3	.mp3	mp3:folder/filename.mp3
   MPEG4 AVC/H.264	mp4	.mp4	mp4:folder/filename.mp4
   		.avi	mp4:folder/filename.avi

   • AutoPlay: True (Checked)

   Note: Dreamweaver CS4 build 4117 has a bug in the Insert FLV dialog box. The Stream Name field does not recognize the full notation for a stream location. Specifically, it does not allow the “:” or “/” characters. To get around this bug, first enter just the filename.ext for your file. After Dreamweaver accepts and fills in the code, manually edit the code to enter the fill notation in the examples above.
