UCInetID Authentication
The OIT streaming server uses the UCInetID authentication system. OIT will provide an upload account on the streaming server upon request from a UCI staff or faculty member, for use with academic, instructional or university business needs.
If the content is being managed on behalf of a department or program, a group UCInetID should be used in lieu of a personal UCInetID. A group UCInetID insures against transition issues in the event of staffing changes.
Encrypted File Transfer
The OIT streaming server exclusively supports the SCP and SFTP protocols; traditional FTP is not supported. Shell access is not available.
