Printing in OIT Labs

Summary: Laser printing is available in OIT labs for a small fee. Locations and prices are available below.

Laser Printing

Laser printing is available in OIT labs. All lab printers are managed by the printing software system and you can release your print jobs using your UCI/Campus ID card or with a purchased Guest print card. Black and white printing is 10 cents per page. Color printing is available in the Student Center C138 for $0.20 cents per page.

How to use the Print System

Locate a Regenerator (Vending Machine) to add value to your UCI/Campus ID card or to purchase a Guest print card. Guest print cards are $1.00 each and has $0.50 cents added value. See Regenerator locations below.
Add money to your card following the posted instructions in increments of $1, $5, $10 or $20.
Send your document to the printer from the computer you are using. Use the File Menu and select Print.
Go to the Print Release Station (PRS) available in the computer lab.
Swipe your UCI/Campus ID card into the card reader.
Select your document from the list and print your document.
Press Quit when the printer has released your print job.

If you still have the NACS Print Card, the remaining value can be transferred to your UCI/Campus ID card. Your NACS Print Card should be in good condition and cannot be bent, cracked, scratched, and/or damaged in order for the transfer station to read it. OIT will void the old NACS Print Card and will not be returned after the transaction is complete.

You may also use the UCI/Campus ID card at some non-OIT labs on campus such as Engineering, ICS, Humanities, School of Law, Social Science, and UCI Libraries.
