Setting Up Oracle Calendar - Macintosh

Summary: Use the following instructions to set up your Oracle Calendar at UCI.

Before You Start

• You will need an active Oracle Calendar account. Talk to your local computer support staff to see if your department uses Oracle Calendar and to request an account for you.
• Download and install Oracle Calendar on your computer.

Set Up Instructions

1. Launch the Oracle Calendar program installed on your computer. Look in the Applications folder or in your Dock.
2. You will see a login screen. Click the Other button.
   
3. In the Connection Manager click the New button.
   
4. In the Connection Editor window, type "UC Irvine" for Connection Name field. Type "calendar.uci.edu" in the Server field. Click the Lookup button. You will need to be connected to the Internet.
   
5. Oracle Calendar will look up the server information and fill it in for you. Click OK.
   
6. Select the UC Irvine connection and click the Make Default button. This will make the online calendar the default. Click Done.
   
7. Login with your UCInetID and the Oracle Calendar password assigned to you by OIT.

Note: Your Oracle Calendar password is not the same as your UCInetID password. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it yourself by logging in with your UCInetID and password.
