In certain scenarios, an installation error such as the following may occur: Error 1931. The Windows Installer service cannot update the system file. C:\WINDOWS\system32\mfc42.dll because the file is protected by Windows. You may need to update you operating system for this program to work correctly. Clicking OK in thes error message dialog box still results in a successful installation. However, to ensure that the application functions correctly, Oracle recommends that you update the DLL file by installing the latest service pack for your operating system. See the System Requirements table for more information. |

This section describes how to install the Oracle Calendar desktop client for Windows.
Log in with administrative privileges if you are installing on Windows 2000, XP or Vista.
Double-click cal_win_1012x.exe.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
