    Definition List
A definition list is a list of terms followed by definitions. Some of the definitions are very, very long.
    Frog
    A common amphibian
    Paragraph mark
Paragraph marks separate one paragraph from another with a blank line.

They can be used inside definition lists.

    Heading Codes

These can be used to make terms

    LARGER.

, but they cause left justification and a paragraph break. Use caution if you put these in definition lists!

    Menu List

  • Hamburger - the best in the world
  • Cheeseburger - unfortunately we use American chesse, which althought inexpensive, has the drawback of being tasteless!
  • Fries - skinny or fat
  • Shake

  • Ah HA! So with some viewers, the difference between menu lists and unnumbered lists is that menu lists don't have bullets!

    And I needed a <BR>code after the </menu> tag

Tabs should work within preformatted text!

    col 1	column 2	column 3
    a	b c
    red	yellow blue

    End of preformatted text

    Physical Styles

bold text and some italicized<I> text

Underlined text (it may not) Fixed width <tt> code Note that in the "fixed width" portion I used special codes to insert the angle brackets.

    Logical styles

    EM (emphasis) style

    strong style

    code style

    SAMP (sample?) style

    KBD (keyboard) style

    VAR style

Now I'm putting extra white space after here. Five CR's did whatever was before "Five". Six spaces were before "Six."

Now I'm going to test the <BR> tag... here's one
    now three

what happened? So <BR> only works when you've got non-white space before it.

Here are non-breaking spaces...    I put in <four><>. Ampersand sign & Double quote " oôo Acircumflexed "o" surrounded by o's.

Here comes a Horizonatal Rule and ADDRESS...
